Alice Gauld-Clark - ITECH Sports Injury Massage Therapist

I am a fully qualified sports massage therapist, with an ITEC Diploma and am a member of the Sports Massage Association. Having been involved in sports including swimming, tennis, gymnastics and athletics from a young age, I developed an interest in anatomy and physiology and maintaining good physical condition.

Treating patients over the years, I have come to understand the body and various types of injuries. Every injury and body is different and I tailor the treatment to clients' specific needs depending on the nature of the injury or condition.

I work with athletes such as marathon runners, boxers, footballers and rugby players. However, many of my clients are non-sporting people with specific injuries such as frozen shoulders and Repetitive Strain Injuries. My clients at Vie Health Club are predominantly, but not exclusively, sports people and I treat a wide range of injuries.

I have worked alongside other medical professionals, including Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Personal Trainers and Acupuncturists and have seen some amazing results with clients.

I have been massaging for over eight years. Having started my career with Swedish massage I wanted to study further to gain an understanding of the body. Over the years I have worked and studied in the UK and abroad to understand the holistic approach that is necessary for the well-being of the human body. I studied La Stone and Deep Tissue Massage in 2002 and Indonesian and Thai Massage in 2004. All types of massage can be beneficial for everyone and I can incorporate these techniques into my treatment if desired.

I am now based in the City, just off High Holborn. Belonging to the SMA you can be assured that I am always continuing development and keeping up to date with current legislations. For private health insurance please confirm with your insurance company you are covered with me. Being a member of The Sports Massage Association we are covered with Prue Insurance.

I am passionate about Sports Massage and it is very satisfying to see the beneficial effects of the treatment on my clients.
